Privacy Policy

In short

Winnaro has no accounts, no servers and no tracking. Your challenges and photos stay on your iPhone and leave it only when you send them yourself.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how the iOS app Winnaro (the “App”) handles information. The App does not collect, store on our servers, sell or share any personal data, and it does not track you. The App is operated by its developer as listed on the App Store (“we”, “us”).

2. What we don't collect

  • We do not ask you to create an account or sign in.
  • We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos or device identifiers.
  • The App contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking SDKs.
  • The App makes no network requests to our servers and has no server of its own.

3. Data on your device

The App keeps your data locally on your iPhone: your profile (a display name and an emoji you choose), the challenges you create, receive and complete, the photos and notes you add to them, your archive and statistics, and your settings (notifications, sound, haptics).

This data never leaves your device through us. It is removed when you delete the App or use “Erase all data” in Settings. If you use iCloud or device backups, this data may be included in those backups under Apple's own privacy terms.

4. Camera and photos

With your permission, the App uses the camera so you can take photos for a challenge, and it can save pictures to your photo library. Photos you pick from your library are chosen through the standard iOS photo picker, which gives the App access only to the photos you select. Photos are stored inside the App on your device and are not uploaded anywhere.

5. Sharing challenges

When you tap Pass on or Share, the App creates a .winnaro file or a picture card on your device and opens the standard iOS share sheet. The file contains the challenge, your display name and emoji, your photos and notes, and the history of earlier versions.

Whatever you share is sent by the app or service you choose, such as AirDrop, Messages or Mail, under its own privacy terms. Nothing is sent to us. Please share only photos you are comfortable sharing and avoid photographing people without their consent.

6. Files you receive

When you open a .winnaro file from someone else, its contents are stored in the App on your device only. You can delete any received challenge at any time.

7. Notifications

With your permission, the App schedules local reminder notifications on your device. No push notification service or token is used, and nothing is sent to us. You can turn reminders off at any time in the App's Settings or in iOS Settings.

8. Crash reports

If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and performance statistics. These reports do not identify you and are used only to fix bugs. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

9. Contacting support

If you email us or use the contact form on this website (which opens your own email app), we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use them only to answer your request, do not share them with anyone, and delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed to help you or when you ask us to.

10. This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking. It is served through Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as your IP address for a short time to deliver the pages securely and protect against abuse. Fonts and images are hosted on this website itself.

12. Children's privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you and to object to its processing. The App itself holds no personal data on our side: all your data is under your control on your device and can be deleted with “Erase all data” or by deleting the App. For any support emails you sent us, write to the address below and we will delete them. We do not sell or share personal information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
